“Everybody Tell Somebody
Individual or Small Group Study Guide
Week 3 “The Good News Is for Everyone”
Acts 17:16-28
OPENING PRAYER:
Spirit of God, meet us here today and move through the scripture and those of us present to teach us and strengthen us in faith. Help us to meet each other in the realities of our lives with compassion, wisdom, and love. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
Quote:"When we meet people where they are, instead of where we think they should be, we create space for grace and transformation." - Sarah Bessey
STARTER QUESTIONS:
Share a time when you felt left out and someone, knowingly or unknowingly, did something that made you feel seen and included.
WRESTLING WITH THE WORD:
Read: Acts 17:16-28
NEXT STEPS:
CLOSING PRAYER:
Loving God, you have graciously met each one of us here where we are. In our own lives, there was a time when we didn’t have a relationship with you, and perhaps someone here still doesn’t. And then there have been times when we have strayed and grown distant, times when we felt like we had lost our faith. And yet, you continue to welcome us back into your arms each time. You give us grace and space to ask questions, to be your prodigal children, to make our own mistakes, and then you lead us back to safety each time. Thank you for being the God who never gives up on us. Help us now that we might share that same love, in word and deed, with those you are calling us to reach. Amen.

Church Growth and Discipleship Committee to Sponsor Family Game Nights Remember what FUN we had at the Halfway Night sponsored by the Men’s Club last February? There was a large crowd of people and families enjoying board games, card games and hot dogs and chili. Besides our own church members, there were several people from the Mexico community who stopped by the church to partake in the festivities. With the blessing of the Men’s Club, our Church Growth and Discipleship Committee voted to sponsor several FAMILY GAME NIGHTS quarterly in our Fellowship Hall beginning with a game night on Saturday, October 17th. More information on this event will be forthcoming as the time gets closer.

DO YOU LIKE PUTTING JIGSAW PUZZLES TOGETHER?
Well, we have them for your enjoyment. When weather or other circumstances makes other activities inconvenient, putting one of these beautiful 300 piece jigsaw puzzles together will be a welcome activity. Over 20 puzzles are available in our Fellowship Hall for you to take one home, enjoy, and return for another. These colorful nature- related puzzles were given by our members of our congregation to share with our church family. (A practice first put in place by Nellie Roberts.) Putting a puzzle together by yourself or a friend will make you realize what a beautiful world our God has made for us to enjoy. Scenes of colorful birds, flowers, trees, gardens and countryside are all depicted in these easy to assemble puzzles.
